More and more companies are recognising the importance of providing on-going supervision for experienced and newly trained internal coaches. We have helped hundreds of managers and leaders to achieve their ILM Coaching qualification and have helped thousands to adopt a coaching style of management.
Organisations investing in developing the coaching skills of their managers now recognise the need to invest in on-going supervision to ensure that these managers are coaching consistently, effectively, ethically and to the highest possible standard.
Our Approach
We match the coaching supervision to the needs of the organisation and the individual. We use Hawkin’s Seven-eyed coaching supervision model to help the coach:
- review and reflect on their coaching practice
- focus on their future development
- explore their ‘stuff’ and the ‘stuff’ from the coachee to help them resource themselves emotionally, mentally and physically
- develop their internal supervisor and become a better reflective practitioner

Group Supervision
This is a cost effective way for organisations to ensure that the highest standards of coaching practice are maintained. We typically work with organisations and run quarterly group supervision sessions for their internal coaches. Group participants report numerous benefits from group coaching – to quote one candidate:
“I felt re-invigorated and back in touch after this mornings session”
Nikki-Roberts Smith, Cwm Taf Health Board.
1:1 Supervision
We recognise that group supervision is not for everyone. Sometimes the issues raised are too personal or confidential to share with the group. We provide 1:1 supervision via the phone, skype and a combination of group and 1:1 supervision depending on the needs of our clients.
“Just a note of thanks for a great session today. It was really useful on a number of levels!”
Gwyn Thomas, Executive Coach
Peer Supervision
One of our main aims as a best practice training provider is to help our client organisations develop internal capacity and capability. With sustainability in mind, we frequently work with our clients to help them move from facilitated group supervision to peer supervision. This ‘move’ typically occurs over a 12 month period, and progresses from facilitated sessions, to co-facilitated sessions through to peer facilitated sessions.
