Worth specialises in helping leaders to develop a coaching style of leadership and have helped hundreds of senior leaders to successfully introduce a coaching culture into their organisations. Our expertise is in helping leaders and managers at all levels to use coaching and mentoring to improve employee engagement, performance and well-being.
We use 1:1 and team coaching to help leaders to achieve their goals and ambitions – and become the type of leader that effortlessly attracts willing followers. We believe that outstanding leaders are resilient, open to increasing self-awareness, and recognise that honest feedback, challenge and support are essential for personal and organisational growth. Our psychology background and practical workplace experience enables us to take a transformational approach to 1:1 and team coaching.
We work closely with clients helping them to look in-depth at the factors that influence their behaviours – and to reflect on their effectiveness in their leadership role. We have absolute faith in our ability to help others transform themselves – and have helped hundreds of leaders and managers to do so.
Worth’s coaching model known as OSCAR has revitalised an ailing manufacturing firm – and bagged a prestigious training award into the bargain. The most startling change has been the fall in absenteeism from 5.4% to 3%, which has saved the company £98,000 in the past 18 months.”
The ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching Programme conducted by Worth has been one of the most exceptional and transformational courses I have attended within the last 20 years as a HR Professional and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from such inspirational, courageous and talented trainers.
This level of confidence in their professionalism and coaching ability motivated the University to appoint Worth to facilitate the ‘Leading for Change’ coaching skills training for 130 of our key Senior leaders across the organisation which has been delivered to an exceptional level within a diverse, talented and challenging range of individuals.”
I have been working with Worth for around nine months. The opportunity to work with them arose after securing an interim promotion that came with a seat on the management board. Interim appointments bring with them significant complexities. In researching suitable support, Worth was recommended by a colleague and I was delighted when our HR team were able to secure their services.
Worth has been invaluable in providing a sounding board and constructive challenge in a supportive environment. Drawing on a wealth of experience both practical and theoretical, they have allowed me to maximise my personal impact during my interim appointment. In particular, to develop approaches to addressing the ‘people issues’ in a way that delivers change rather than mere compliance.
My success in securing my appointment on a permanent basis and electing to continue a coaching relationship with Worth speaks volumes.
We first started working with Worth in November 2012 when we commissioned them to help us develop the People Management, Coaching and Strategic Leadership skills of our Senior Managers. The quality of the leadership training, coaching and team facilitation services provided by Worth has exceeded our expectations and have resulted in us securing their services for further work with our Senior Management Team and colleagues across the business.
Worth has been instrumental in helping Cardiff & Vale University Health Board to develop and implement a coaching style of leadership that has helped transform the way our leaders engage with their teams and colleagues. Their work, including 1:1 coaching, team coaching, coaching supervision and ILM L7 Coaching training, with our Senior Management Team, Board Members, Senior Managers, Clinicians and Alternative Therapies has been truly transformational.
The leadership and management training programmes provided by Worth are probably some of the best learning we have delivered across the organisation. The quality of the delivery is superb and the support offered and the facilitators’ expansive knowledge second to none. But the real success lies in the long-term impact it is having across teams and departments; irrelevant of the nature of the services they deliver. The training makes a difference not only to the attendees of the programme – but also there is a huge positive impact on those who then are coached. I would recommend Worth to everyone.
“I have wanted to write for ages to say a big thank you for the tailored training you delivered to the leads in the OT service in April. I had a sense that this group of staff needed something to support them in their supervisory roles but without knowing what was needed or how to go about it. When I first spoke to Karen and Nerys, they really listened and understood what we were looking for and suggested that you would be ideally suited to plan and deliver the training day. They were absolutely right.
When Helen and I met you, we talked a lot about what we felt we wanted to get out of the training, at that stage it felt quite big and unwieldy. You really listened and were able to help us understand what we wanted and needed and what might work well for the format, taking into account the needs of the group. Your understanding of the needs of the service and those in it, was excellent and also how to draw out the reflective conversations that have stimulated much ongoing discussion and thought in the service.
The training itself was well planned and delivered brilliantly. You kept the whole group engaged and provoked much animated reflective discussion. The feedback from the group reiterated this. The training gave everyone something to go away with to take things forward in the supervision they give and receive. We have also adapted the in house supervision training we deliver to incorporate some of the key messages we learnt about from you, particularly the idea of the trust credibility ratio, having ‘crucial conversations’ the support and challenge matrix and the idea of feeding forward rather than focusing just on feedback. This practical learning has been hugely valuable.
The way you got the whole group involved to think and discuss ideas and feedback has been equally valuable; the information we took from this is guiding us to make responsive changes in how we structure supervision and support staff within the service.
I am so pleased that we took the plunge and booked this training and that we opted for the bespoke training, rather than the lower cost option of a set format. This did feel like a financial risk, but the benefits are so wide reaching I believe it was absolutely worth it. I am delighted and grateful that the health board funded this opportunity and was over the moon with how you planned and delivered a superb training experience that went well beyond the meeting the brief. Thank you.”
